On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Colonie Police arrested a second suspect for his role in the Home Invasion Burglary that happened Monday, Aug. 25 at 11:45 p.m. at 2627 Third Avenue, First Floor. Back then, three men in hooded sweatshirts jumped a man outside the apartment, ran inside and ran down a woman who tried to escape, police said.

The female victim, treated and released at Albany Medical Center, helped with the investigation and after that description, plus assistance from the Watervliet Police Department, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County Community College Public Safety Office, they arrested Jordan Gleason, 19, of Watervliet, a student at Sullivan County Community College.

Police say Gleason had a gun during the crime but they haven’t found the gun. The third and final suspect is still unidentified. Gleason is charged with Burglary (1st Degree, Felony). He is a former Watervliet H.S. basketball player.

Gleason was arraigned in Colonie Justice Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail. He’s the second Watervliet teenager arrested and charged in this case. Police arrested Armani Parker, 18, and also charged him with Burglary. Parker was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 26. The original report had three males, each wearing a red, white or blue hoodie, hitting a man around 11:45 p.m. Monday night, Aug. 25, then chasing down a woman who tried to get away.

Anyone with information about this crime or the identity of the third and final suspect is urged to contact the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
