Guilty Plea in Albany Cocaine Bust

Guilty plea in a case involving a lot of cocaine.

44 year old Paul Collins of Albany has pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession related to his arrest during a traffic stop back on July 1, 2016.  State police say they pulled Collins over a little after 10 pm for changing lanes without signaling while on 787. A K-9 was brought in to search the vehicle and Collins was found to be in possession of over 436  grams of cocaine.

According to the Albany County D.A., Collins faces 6 years in State Prison, to be followed by 3 years of Post Release Supervision, when sentenced on March 24.

Collins will also be ordered to forfeit $9,898.
