Anyone who has unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications can drop them off at disposal sites at 38 different locations throughout the Capital region this Saturday, April 29th.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to fulfill two goals. The drop-off points create a safe, responsible way to dispose of expired and unused prescription drugs without them getting tossed into landfills where they can ultimately wind up leaching into water supplies. Ridding household medicine cabinets of drugs that are no longer needed also ensures that they don't wind up in the wrong hands and add to addictions.
