It's not in the cards immediately, but come next April; electricity and gas rates for National Grid customers could be going up.
The rate hike for both electricity and gas could increase a homeowners bill by $21 to $22 a month, but the rate hike might be phased in over a multi-year period.
The proposed new rates would have to be approved by the Public Service Commission.
