Cuomo, Schneiderman Threaten Lawsuit if DACA Ends

With the Trump administration expected to announce an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program today, it apparently won't happen without a legal fight.

Gov. Cuomo and Attorney General Eric Schneiderman have promised legal action if the President follows through with his plans.

"We won't stand for it," Gov. Cuomo said during an appearance in Brooklyn on Labor Day.  "We're not going to see 40,000 New Yorkers deported for what is basically a political motivation by Washington."

President Trump is expected today to end the Obama-era program aimed at protecting about 800-thousand illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.  He'll reportedly add a six-month grace period so Congress can come up with its own solution.  Trump tweeted out this morning, "Congress, get ready to do your job."

Former President Obama reportedly plans to make a statement on Facebook if Trump decides to end DACA.
