There is a new location and time of year for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society’s 8th Annual Paws in the Park Walk for Animals.
The event is today, from 11 AM to 3 PM, at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy.
This is a shift from the usual June date at the Siena College Campus.
Marguerite Pearson with the Humane Society told News Channel 13 the event helps raise money for their care efforts.
"All of the money goes to support our animal care and outreach programs; of course, we shelter animals here, we provide veterinary care prior to adoption, we also offer low-cost services for the community."
You may show up with or without a dog.
Activities include a, "Doggy Fun Zone," and Pet-and-Parent Look-A-Like Contest.
