Police responded to a shooting in Schenectady Tuesday afternoon shortly before 1pm where authorities say two children were shot and one adult. Police say the two children a 7 year old boy, and a 16 year old girl, are in " stable but guarded "condition. The 35 year old woman shot, is also listed in " stable but guarded" condition.
The suspect is in custody with what police say "appears to be self-inflicted gunshot wound." He has been identified as Deshawn Howard. He was located at a home in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood. He is listed in stable condition. A woman is also being questioned.
State Police and police officers from Rotterdam and Niskayuna were called in, and a helicopter was also involved in the search for Howard.
