The New York State Police say the search for a missing Mohawk Valley woman has a sad ending.
The body of 21-year-old Michaela MacVilla of St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, was found on Tuesday just a few miles away from where she was last seen, in a wooded area in the Fulton County town of Oppenheim. That's not far from her job at Stewart's, where she was last seen while leaving.
Police have opened a criminal investigation and a manner of death has not yet been determined.
