At Last: Governor Cuomo & Republican Marc Molinaro to Debate

Governor Cuomo and his Republican challenger are going to be squaring off in their first debate before the November election.  In a conference call with reporters this morning, Republican Marc Molinaro accepted Cuomo's offer of a taped one hour, televised debate.

Cuomo has been taking some heat for remaining silent on debating his opponent and then calling for a last minute radio debate last week.  The debate will air tomorrow night at 7:00 on WCBS-TV and its affiliates. Locally you'll find it on CBS 6.

Libertarian candidate Larry Sharpe, the Green Party's Howie Hawkins and former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner on the Serve America Movement ticket are on the ballot, but were not invited to participate in the debate.
