A 33-year-old Pittsfield man is facing charges after he broke into a woman's apartment, took off his shoes, and emptied the cat's litter box.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, police were initially responding to a call about a man with a knife chasing a woman on Mohawk Forest Blvd.
Officers did not find a knife on Sayers, who they say was "not making much sense" when he was arrested.
The victim told police her apartment doors were unlocked when Sayers entered. She said Sayers was not welcome in her apartment and accused him of making sexually suggestive comments to her.
Sayers was arraigned earlier this week on breaking and entering and disturbing the peace charges.
