New York Congressman Introduces "Red Light Bill"

In the aftermath of the passage of New York State's "Green Light Bill," several county clerks, including those in Saratoga and Rensselaer counties, have said they will not give an illegal immigrant a driver's license, and lawsuits against the bill have been filed.

Now, a Congressman from the Buffalo area, Republican Chris Collins, has introduced legislation called the "Red Light Bill" that would take away New York's $1.3 billion federal highway fund allocation.

A spokesman for Governor Cuomo's office issued a statement calling the legislation "political grandstanding from a Trump acolyte who's been indicted on felony charges." It goes on to say the measure has no chance of passing in Congress.
