Acting U.S. Attorney Visits Albany to Discuss Violence

Gun violence in Albany will be addressed by both federal and local officials Tuesday.

Acting U.S. Attorney Antoinette Bacon will be in Albany to discuss the efforts by both federal and local agencies to address gun violence and gun crimes. She will be joined by Albany County DA David Soares and Police Chief Eric Hawkins at the Albany Police headquarters.

It's been a violent year in Albany and there was another shooting on Monday afternoon, the city's 109th shooting of 2020. A 22-year-old was shot in the legs on Fourth Avenue.
