Planning for Halloween During a COVID Pandemic

The City of Albany is announcing some plans for Halloween.

A dozen city parks will host events that will give residents a chance to show off costumes, get candy, a pumpkin, and a carving kit with either drive-through or walk-through options. Mayor Kathy Sheehan says although traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating hasn't been banned, the CDC considers it a "high-risk" activity. The City is looking for volunteers to assist with decorating the #AlbanyHalloween2020 sites, and to help with distributing candy and pumpkins. All the events will use the typical COVID protections. A Saratoga Spooktacular drive-thru trick-or-treat event will be held the evenings of Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st at the grounds of SPAC.
