The RPI men and women’s hockey seasons have officially been cancelled.
In a statement released on Monday afternoon, RPI athletic director Lee McElory says the cancellation is in an effort to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of the community as coronavirus cases rise in the area. Women's head coach Bryan Vines tells NEWS 10 ABC he understands the decision but that it's a big disappointment for the student-athletes. Many other RPI teams compete in the Liberty League, which last week canceled all winter sports competition and championships.
