There's no in-person event this year, but the Equinox Thanksgiving Community Dinner is still moving ahead.

Last year the organization provided almost 11,000 meals to those in need and the demand is expected to be even greater due to the pandemic. Christina Rajotte, Equinox's Director of Development and Marketing, tells WGY News the deadline to order a meal is this Friday. Instead of by volunteers, the meals are being prepped by local restaurants and food service providers. Equinox has almost reached its goal of raising $100,000 to purchase the meals. Volunteer drivers will pick up meals and provide contactless delivery throughout the Capital Region. The number for the Equinox hotline is (518) 434-0131
