Capital Region Could Face Increased Restrictions as COVID-19 Cases Rise

With the number of coronavirus cases rising in the Capital Region, some restrictions could soon be put in place to slow the spread of the disease.

Should the infection rate remain high, parts of the area could be designated as a "yellow zone" by the state. That would mean things like increased COVID-19 testing in schools and limits on gatherings. Over the past week, the average number of new cases locally has gone from just under 90 to over 97.
