A bill is being floated in the New York State Assembly that would make it mandatory to get the COVID-19 vaccine under certain circumstances.

The controversial measure would require the vaccine if not enough of the population is voluntarily getting it. Rosenthal says it would be needed to get sufficient immunity that Dr. Anthony Fauci has designated at least 75-percent of the population. Under the legislation that awaits consideration in an Assembly Committee, doctors could exempt certain patients.
