Early Success for CDTA's "Blue Line" Despite Pandemic

CDTA CEO Carm Basile, with an update on the new Blue line rapid transit service, says the new line is going well and people are using the new service but he says that ridership is still suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new line was launched in November with free rides for passengers. The River Corridor Service known as the " Blue Line", is a rapid transit line that makes fewer stops along the way. The Route Corridor includes stops in Albany, Watervliet, Troy ,Cohoes and Waterford. The Waterford stop gets CDTA into Saratoga County, where the bus line wants to do more business .Increased frequencies are intended to make the buses more convenient for passengers.
