The Capital Region has set yet another record for the number of new coronavirus infections.
The eight counties that make up the area reported 1,042 additional cases on Monday, breaking the previous high of 913 on December 14th. Of those new cases, the highest totals were found in both Schenectady and Saratoga counties. Albany County is also still struggling to contain the disease with 226 more cases, surpassing the record of 222 on December 17th.
