Skiers will be back at Hunter Mountain Friday after the resort had to close due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

It was shut down on Tuesday after several ski patrollers said they weren't able to work due to the virus. Those employees help skiers who may be hurt or evacuate people from ski lifts should they stall or break down. In a statement online, the company that owns Hunter Mountain said the safety of workers and guests is their highest priority.
