Albany County Again Sets Record For Number of COVID-19 Hospitalizations

For the second day in a row, Albany County has set a new record for the number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19.

There are now 180 people receiving medical care for the virus with 16 patients in intensive care. The death toll has also gone up by three and now sits at 275, which is the highest in the entire area. County officials say anyone who is struggling due to the virus or has questions about getting vaccinated can dial the United Way of the Greater Capital Region's 2-1-1 hotline.
