Governor Cuomo announced large arenas across the state can reopen on February 23rd, with capacity limits and other restrictions in place.

Cuomo says capacity will be limited to 10%, plus those who attend must get a PCR test within 72 hours of the event, and have a negative result. Face coverings and social distancing will also be required.

Cuomo says arenas can send their plans to the State Health Department to be evaluated.

Under this model, 1,750 people could attend an event at the Times Union Center in Albany. The Albany Empire, now a part of the National Arena League, are scheduled to play their home opener at the Times Union Center on May 22nd.

1,900 fans will be allowed inside the Barclays Center on February 23rd for a Brooklyn Nets game.
