Albany International Airport is taking another step towards protecting travelers from the coronavirus.

Officials say ultraviolet smartphone sanitizers have been set up in three locations around the facility. Studies show phones have been known to carry bacteria and viruses including COVID-19. Even though enhanced safety protocols are in place at the airport, travelers are being reminded to wear their masks and take part in social distancing when possible.
