NYC Mayor Thinks State Might Be Playing Politics With COVID Data

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio thinks the state might be playing politics with COVID numbers that have differed from city numbers since the start of the pandemic.

The mayor believes the City Health Department has the most accurate numbers for the five boroughs and they are based on objective science, adding he can't say that for the state. A spokesman for the Cuomo administration tells The New York Post while the State and City report data differently, the implication that politics, not policy, drives this variance is "irresponsible at best."
