Sen. Schumer Calls For Plan That Would Allow U.S.-Canada Border to Reopen

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling for a plan to be put in place that would let the border between the United States and Canada reopen.

It's been shut down for over a year in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Schumer says the closure is having a negative impact on New York's economy and makes it nearly impossible for people in both countries to see their friends and family. Americans can travel to Canada by air but are asked to quarantine for two weeks after arriving.
