Most restrictions that have been put in place statewide to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may be eliminated in just a few days.
Governor Cuomo said Monday that once the state's COVID-19 vaccination rate reaches 70 %, life can finally return to normal. Right now, the state's vaccination rate is sitting at 68,6 %. Among the regulations set to be lifted include health screenings, social distancing guidelines and cleaning and disinfecting protocols. But, there will still be some restrictions in effect at places like schools, large venues and health care facilities.
