Starting Thursday, more fast food workers across New York State will be seeing a boost to their bottom lines.

That's because the minimum wage for those positions will rise from $14.50 an hour to an even $15. That puts them in line with New York City fast food workers who have been earning that amount since 2018. For full-time employees, the increase is projected to add about $ 20 extra per week to their paychecks.
