After more than a year of waiting, some Americans are finally going to be allowed into Canada next month.

The Canadian government says beginning August 9th, U.S. residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can cross the border without having to quarantine after arriving. However, they'll have to provide proof that they've been immunized, be tested for coronavirus before their trip and have no symptoms of the illness. The border between both countries has been shut down since March 2020 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
