Two women have already been appointed to fill important roles as Governor Hochul's administration gets underway.

On Monday it was announced that Karen Keough will serve as secretary to the governor while Elizabeth Fine will work as Hochul's counsel. There's still no word on who will be the new Lieutenant Governor, however reports have been circulating for days that it'll be someone from New York City. The governor has already said all current department commissioners and personnel can stay in their positions for at least the next 45 days while she takes time to build her staff.
