Albany High School officials say high school football games have been canceled until October due to a rule involving COVID-19 vaccinations.

A district spokesman says the current policy calls for high-risk sports to be put on hold until all student-athletes can receive their shots. That means the varsity football season is likely to begin October 1st when Albany takes on Troy. It's not likely the games that have already been canceled will be made up before the season ends.
