New York State has started the process of rolling out COVID-19 booster shots to all eligible residents.

Anyone who received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago can get the booster so long as they're part of a certain group. Among those who can get their shots are people 65 or older, people between 50 and 64 years old with an underlying medical condition and people between 18 and 64 years old with a high risk of exposure to COVID-19 due to their occupational or institutional setting. Anyone who received a Moderna or Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine can't get a booster shot yet.
