Governor Hochul says parents of young children should start planning to get their kids vaccinated against COVID-19.

While FDA approval of a vaccine for children five to 11-years-old is likely still a few weeks away, the governor is urging parents to make an appointment with their child's pediatrician now instead of waiting for that to happen. The governor says the state will depend mostly on pediatricians to distribute vaccine doses. But she also says she's looking into reopening mass-vaccination sites and working with schools in order to get kids immunized.
