Columbia County deputies are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run that left a boy hurt.
Deputies say the child and his mother were crossing Fairview Avenue in Greenport Sunday night when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV. The boy suffered cuts and bruises as well as a broken ankle but is already out of the hospital. Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to give them a call.
