A lawyer for legendary horse trainer Bob Baffert says there's proof Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit wasn't injected with an illegal drug.

Late last week, the lawyer said the director of the New York Drug Testing and Research Program confirmed that the cortico-steroid found in Medina Spirit's blood after winning the 147th Kentucky Derby was from a topical ointment used to treat a skin condition. The statement says it was confirmed through a split urine sample taken from the horse following the race.
