A judge in Albany City Court has dropped a misdemeanor complaint against former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo appeared in court virtually this afternoon. Judge Holly Trexler tossed the forcible touching case.

Cuomo is accused of inappropriately touching a female aide at the Executive Mansion in Albany back in December 2020, a claim he has denied.

Earlier this week, Albany County District Attorney David Soares said his office wouldn't prosecute the case because there's not enough evidence to prove the woman's allegation beyond a reasonable doubt.

Both the Nassau and Westchester DA's also declined to prosecute similar allegations, concluding accusers' accounts were credible, but not criminal under state law.
