A Troy man will be spending the next three years behind bars for his role in a heroin trafficking ring.

The U.S. Department of Justice says 43-year-old Jose Leon Roldan worked alongside his father and another man to sell heroin in Troy from November 2019 until March 2020. Roldan and his father would get the heroin from a supply in New York City and bring it back to the area to prepare and package the drugs for sale. Once Roldan is released from prison, he'll have to serve three years on probation.
