An Ulster County man is facing 25 years to life in prison after being convicted of murdering a six-year-old boy from Troy.

On Wednesday, a jury found 42-year-old Kevin Cox guilty of locking Davonte Paul outside of a home on Fifth Avenue to freeze back in 2020. Prosecutors say the boy was left outdoors for roughly 10 hours as a punishment and that he died due to hypothermia and shock. Cox is scheduled to be sentenced in May.
