New York State is trying to make it easier on folks to purchase electric vehicles.

On Thursday, Governor Hochul said the state is adding $10 million toward a Drive Clean Rebate Program. People purchasing electric vehicles could get up to $2000.00 off per vehicle through the rebate program. The governor is also directing the State Department of Environmental Conservation to take action that'll require all new SUVs, pickup trucks and passenger cars sold in the Empire State to be zero emissions by 2035.
