A repeat felon is going to be spending a long time behind bars for his role in a murder in Albany.

On Thursday, a judge sentenced Nicholas Lewis to 25 years to life in prison for attacking 64-year-old Thai Nguyen in September of last year. Nguyen was found in some bushes at Lincoln Park and died of his injuries weeks later. The judge said he believes that Lewis deserved a longer sentence but decided to follow the terms of the plea agreement that was reached.
