People across the area may want to take some time Tuesday to make sure they know where their windshield scrapers and snow shovels are.

That's because the National Weather Service says the area is expected to receive its first snowfall of the season. Precipitation is projected to arrive Tuesday night and forecasters are predicting that a few inches could fall in the immediate Capital Region area by the beginning of Wednesday morning's commute, which may create hazardous conditions on the roads. Last year, the first measurable snowfall of over one inch happened November 26th.
