At least six people and a gunman were killed today (Sunday) in a shooting spree at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, police said.

The alleged shooter was shot and killed by police. In the gunfight, an officer was wounded. Four of the victims of the shooting were found inside the building, while two others and the gunman were found outside, according to Bradley Wentlandt, police chief in the neighboring town of Greenfield.

Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said that the shooting is being treated as a "domestic terrorist-type incident" and investigation into the incident will be handled by the FBI.

Along with the officer, two others were wounded with all three in critical condition.
