A color photo of George Zimmerman with swollen nose and blood running down his lips, snapped on the night he shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, was posted on the Internet on Monday by Zimmerman's legal team.

Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara said, "It's not a game changer," but said that the photo showed the injuries Zimmerman suffered in his confrontation with Martin that resulted in the unarmed 17-year-old's death. O'Mara added, "Does it really show what happened that night to George? Yes."

Martin family attorney Ben Crump countered that the photo changes nothing in the case, saying, "Trayvon Martin was defending himself. He had every right to stand his ground to defend himself."

The murder trial is scheduled to begin in June 2013.
