The Florida house where a sinkhole swallowed up a man as he was sleeping was partially razed on Sunday.

The demolition began a day after 37-year-old landscaper Jeff Bush was declared "presumed dead" by country officials. He disappeared after the sinkhole opened up under his bedroom on Thursday night.

Jeremy Bush, who tried to save his brother by jumping into the sinkhole said he was "sad that they couldn't get my brother out. He was a good guy. He would give you the shirt off his back."

The family took some solace that the demolition crew was able to save some of their possessions, including the family's Bible.
