OK, so we're a few weeks into the new season, and being the obsessed TV fan I am, here's a few random thoughts on some of the new and returning shows we watch in the Patrick household;

ONCE UPON A TIME-Great first season, second looks promising so far, catch up with Season One if you can.

REVENGE-One of my faves from last year, just cheesy enough to be a lot of fun.

666 PARK AVENUE-Could be an early dumper based on the pilot, not even mildly scary.

THE GOOD WIFE-Getting competition from Revenge but still delivering with both great writing and acting.

THE MENTALIST-Haven't caught the new season yet, my wife Nancy hates/tolerates this show because while it can be a great procedurial show it can be really really dumb (her words).

PARTNERS-Want to catch it through On Demand but ratings tell me I might not want to bother.

HAWAII FIVE-O-Been hooked since Season One, it's holding on the DVR.

BONES-See The Mentalist

THE MOB DOCTOR-To use an analogy, they made me an offer I COULD refuse, a hit is needed for this one.

THE VOICE-Knocking the stuffing out of The X Factor (which we don't watch), but don't we have enough singing/talent shows?

REVOLUTION-The hit of the season, they are playing this smart and doing a lot of "reveals" early, different from "similar" shows like Lost.

VEGAS-I like "period" shows, and I like "mob" shows (despite The Mob Doctor), worth catching.

BEN AND KATE-Very funny show, you should try it.

GO ON- Already has a full season pickup, it IS that good.

THE NEW NORMAL-Not everyones "cup of tea", and ratings have dipped some, but it's quirky enough (like me) to keep watching.

THE MIDDLE- Having lived in Indiana, true AND funny.

THE NEIGHBORS-We went less than five minutes, written by zombies.

MODERN FAMILY-Do I really have to add anything?

CSI-Ted Danson continues to breathe new life into this show.

ANIMAL PRACTICE-See Partners.

GUYS WITH KIDS-Watched it longer than The Neighbors, one of the biggest regrets of my life.

LAW & ORDER SVU-Stabler who?

LAST RESORT- Must watch show.

SCANDAL-Season One was great, a perfect show with the Presidential race going on (not comparing, just making a reference).

PERSON OF INTEREST- Very compelling, and a good cliff hanger carry over from Season One.

ELEMENTARY- I am totally hooked.

MADE IN JERSEY- See Partners.

BLUE BLOODS- Tom Selleck for goodness sake, and it's NYC cops.

FRINGE-Last season but I can't quit now.

And I'm not forgetting BOARDWALK EMPIRE and TREME on HBO, alas, don't have Showtime, so I have to wait for the free weekend to see new episodes of DEXTER.

OK, now what about you?  Anything you like?  Anything you hate?  Let me know.
