Over the last week I've been snickering reading about and seeing the bickering between some talk radio hosts and the WWE.

The controversy surrounds two of the WWE "Superstars" (i.e. wrestlers) doing a bit that can be interpreted as a slam on the Tea Party, and in particular the immigration issue.

While all talk show hosts in general have many good points, one should NEVER believe or go along with every single word anyone (talk show hosts, politicians, your boss) says, listen to what they say, and decide for yourself.

So, in this case, I don't agree with the controversy.

I'll admit, I'm a wrestling fan, not just WWE (or WWF if you haven't kept up), TNA, ROH, and other organizations with initials you may not know.

Wrestling isn't "real", but it's not "fake".

It's a show....it's planned...it's (somewhat) predictable.

It's theater, pure and simple.

Good guys and bad guys.

The two guys under the microscope are (this time) playing "bad guys", an overplayed version of reality.

Not the first time it's happened.

In the past, there have been "bad guy" wrestlers that fans love to hate;

The Communist

The Iranian

The Iraqi

The Nazi

All of these guys hate America and everything it stands for.

Eventually, the "good guy" wrestler kicks their butt and they go away, and after a few months they come back and see the error of their ways.

Or come back as an entirely new character.

It's wrestling...it's what they do.

Maybe some feel the perception is that these two characters are "bad guys".

Really?

Really?

Really? (if you watch WWE you'll understand that more).

With all of the problems in the country, let alone the world, is this the straw that breaks the camel's back?

Highly unlikely.

For those that don't know, these two wrestlers will be involved in a title match against one of the current champs at Wrestlemania 29 in April.

They may win...but it won't be for long...then they will go away and come back all apologetic.

Or, as stated above, as all new characters, maybe even "good guys".

That's one lesson we should all take from this.

Let's worry about more vital issues affecting the country than this.
